In 2003, my grandaughter was born. I decided that I was doing a room for her at my house.

I also decided I wanted to do a mural on one wall. I gathered ideas and put them all together into one big picture.

My theme for her wall was butterflies and fairies.

I also included animals that signified different members of our family.

I had never painted anything of this size before. I previously had only painted wood crafts.

I had the use of a Tracer which was an enormous help.

I took me about 6 weeks over the summer to paint this 14 x 8 foot wall.
