Fun 3D Mermaid Mural

The room took 6 months to complete since I could only work on it when I was at home during my daughter's nap time. Mat leave was a very social time, when I wasn't painting. I was inspired by the ceramic fish in my step-mother-in-law's bathroom and soon they were being shipped to Toronto so I could finish my daughter's big girl room. I used a 3D approach as some of the elements come out of the wall: mermaid, some of the fish, headboard and three of the towers. The room was finished when the ocean met the ceiling a couple of days before I went back to work.
