Time Will Tell

I love doing artwork for kids! They are always so amazed with the process. This is a mural in our local elementary school media center. The librarian wanted a painting that would illustrate the 5 different time zones. We decided to do a painting that would incorporate actual clocks.

Working on a school budget I faux finished inexpensive clocks and used 2 curtain rods attached to painted wood pieces to hang them. The name plates were mounted on iron outlet covers.

The students loved coming in everyday to see the progress. Also, an unexpected surprise, guest speakers use it on a regular basis during their presentations. Who knows, I may have inspired some new little artists!
